Proposition

You should hope for glory.

Romans 8 teaches that believers have a
certain hope in the future glory
promised by God. The chapter opens with
the assurance that there is no
condemnation for those in Christ,
affirming the secure foundation upon
which this hope is built. It describes
the Spirit’s work in our lives,
reminding us that our present sufferings
are incomparable to the glory that
awaits us. It culminates in a powerful
declaration of God’s unbreakable love,
which ensures that nothing can separate
us from Him. Romans 8 provides several
reasons why believers should hope for
glory, each rooted in the promises of
God and the work of the Spirit.

Romans 8 shows several reasons to hope
for glory:

Because Christ Frees from Condemnation
(Romans 8:1-4)

Paul begins by stating that there is
"now no condemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). Christ's
sacrificial death liberates believers
from the guilt and penalty of sin,
assuring us of our place in God's family
and our future glorification. This
freedom from condemnation gives us a
firm basis to hope for the promised
glory, as God has justified us through
faith in Christ (Romans 5:1-2). The
epistles further affirm this by teaching
that our justification by faith results
in a sure hope of sharing in the glory
of God.

Because the Spirit Empowers Believers
(Romans 8:5-17)

Paul contrasts living according to the
flesh with living according to the
Spirit, teaching that those who are led
by the Spirit of God are the children of
God (Romans 8:14). The Spirit empowers
believers to live righteously and resist
sin, which is a foretaste of the glory
to come. This empowerment is a guarantee
of our future inheritance, as noted in
Ephesians 1:13-14, where the Spirit is
described as a deposit guaranteeing our
full redemption and glorification in the
future.

Because Glory Outweighs Suffering
(Romans 8:18-25)

Paul acknowledges that present
sufferings are part of our earthly
experience but assures believers that
these sufferings are not worth comparing
with the glory that will be revealed in
us (Romans 8:18). It's not that the
suffering is not bad. It's just that the
glory will be so much better by
comparison. This perspective encourages
believers to endure trials with the hope
that the future glory far surpasses any
present difficulties. Paul speaks of the
redemption of our bodies and the eager
expectation of creation for this
glorious transformation, which aligns
with 2 Corinthians 4:17, emphasizing
that our temporary troubles are
achieving an eternal glory.

Because the Spirit Intercedes (Romans
8:26-27)

Paul explains that the Spirit helps us
in our weakness by interceding for us
with groanings too deep for words
(Romans 8:26). This intercession aligns
our prayers with God's will, providing
comfort and assurance that God is
working everything out for our good and
His glory. The Spirit’s intercession
encourages us to hope for glory, knowing
that God’s Spirit is actively advocating
on our behalf, just as Hebrews 7:25
describes Jesus’ continual intercession
for us as our high priest.

Because God’s Love Secures Us (Romans
8:28-39)

Paul concludes with a declaration of
God's unwavering love, asserting that
nothing can separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:39). This unbreakable bond
assures us that our future glory is
secure, regardless of trials or
challenges. This assurance strengthens
our hope, as nothing in all creation can
sever the relationship between God and
His children. The epistles further
develop this theme, particularly in
Ephesians 1:4-5, where Paul speaks of
God's predestining love that guarantees
our future glory.

Invitation

If you are here today and have not
placed your trust in Christ, I urge you
to consider the message of Romans 8.
This chapter speaks of a life free from
condemnation, empowered by the Spirit,
and filled with hope for future glory
and assurance in God's love. All these
promises are available to those who are
in Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that
we all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, and the wages of sin is
death (Romans 3:23; 6:23). But God, in
His mercy, provided a way for us to be
reconciled to Him through the death and
resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Christ’s death on the cross paid the
penalty for our sins, satisfying God's
righteous demands. By raising Him from
the dead, God has proven that He has
accepted Christ's sacrifice on our
behalf. If you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). I
invite you to trust in Christ today, to
call on His name, and ask Him to save
you on the basis of Christ's
propitiating atonement for your sins.
Trust in His finished work, and you will
experience the peace, hope, and
confidence that only He can provide.

--
Have you heard the good news Christ died
for our sins (†), and God raised Him
from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows
we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the
dead shows Christ's death satisfied
God's righteous demands against our sin
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:1-2). This means
God can now remain just, while forgiving
you of your sins, and saving you from
eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and
resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you:
"For "everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved."" (Romans
10:13, ESV)

epistles further affirm this by teaching
that our justification by faith results
in a sure hope of sharing in the glory
of God.
Because the Spirit Empowers Believers
(Romans 8:5-17)
Paul contrasts living according to the
flesh with living according to the
Spirit, teaching that those who are led
by the Spirit of God are the children of
God (Romans 8:14). The Spirit empowers
believers to live righteously and resist
sin, which is a foretaste of the glory
to come. This empowerment is a guarantee
of our future inheritance, as noted in
Ephesians 1:13-14, where the Spirit is
described as a deposit guaranteeing our
full redemption and glorification in the
future.
Because Glory Outweighs Suffering
(Romans 8:18-25)
Paul acknowledges that present
sufferings are part of our earthly
experience but assures believers that
these sufferings are not worth comparing
with the glory that will be revealed in
us (Romans 8:18). It's not that the
suffering is not bad. It's just that the
glory will be so much better by
comparison. This perspective encourages
believers to endure trials with the hope
that the future glory far surpasses any
present difficulties. Paul speaks of the
redemption of our bodies and the eager
expectation of creation for this
glorious transformation, which aligns
with 2 Corinthians 4:17, emphasizing
that our temporary troubles are
achieving an eternal glory.
Because the Spirit Intercedes (Romans
8:26-27)
Paul explains that the Spirit helps us
in our weakness by interceding for us
with groanings too deep for words
(Romans 8:26). This intercession aligns
our prayers with God's will, providing
comfort and assurance that God is
working everything out for our good and
His glory. The Spirit’s intercession
encourages us to hope for glory, knowing
that God’s Spirit is actively advocating
on our behalf, just as Hebrews 7:25
describes Jesus’ continual intercession
for us as our high priest.
Because God’s Love Secures Us (Romans
8:28-39)
Paul concludes with a declaration of
God's unwavering love, asserting that
nothing can separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:39). This unbreakable bond
assures us that our future glory is
secure, regardless of trials or
challenges. This assurance strengthens
our hope, as nothing in all creation can
sever the relationship between God and
His children. The epistles further
develop this theme, particularly in
Ephesians 1:4-5, where Paul speaks of
God's predestining love that guarantees
our future glory.
Invitation
If you are here today and have not
placed your trust in Christ, I urge you
to consider the message of Romans 8.
This chapter speaks of a life free from
condemnation, empowered by the Spirit,
and filled with hope for future glory
and assurance in God's love. All these
promises are available to those who are
in Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that
we all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, and the wages of sin is
death (Romans 3:23; 6:23). But God, in
His mercy, provided a way for us to be
reconciled to Him through the death and
resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Christ’s death on the cross paid the
penalty for our sins, satisfying God's
righteous demands. By raising Him from
the dead, God has proven that He has
accepted Christ's sacrifice on our
behalf. If you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). I
invite you to trust in Christ today, to
call on His name, and ask Him to save
you on the basis of Christ's
propitiating atonement for your sins.
Trust in His finished work, and you will
experience the peace, hope, and
confidence that only He can provide.

Remember what was said, "He thinks he is scriptural truth."
The spirit of Satan seeks to establish itself as fact, reality, and

Robert can't help being what he is, but that is no excuse. Why? Because
it is required to call upon the Lord.

Have you heard the good news Christ died
for our sins (†), and God raised Him
from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows
we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the
dead shows Christ's death satisfied
God's righteous demands against our sin
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:1-2). This means
God can now remain just, while forgiving
you of your sins, and saving you from
eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and
resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you:
"For "everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved."" (Romans
10:13, ESV)

their life.
No, He didn’t. Read your post just where did it mention ‘believers’?
Hmmmm
He is actually right in this particular instance, I never said,
"believers" and I wouldn't say believers.
True believers have already lost their lives. :-).
You tell the unsaved to lose their lives. But to whom?

ChristRose must be burned in hell under the law!
It is probably going to be quite smelly that sizzling flesh.

We are not under the law, but the law is there for our instruction.

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his
sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of
God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the
prophets;” (Rom 3:20-21)

The last phrase is key to understanding the verse and IS the focal point

Notice the extreme difference there? “For MY Sake”.

The OP didn't say you must lose your

persistent efforts to impute false
narratives and motives to others?
You're the dumb hypocrite who had no
basis to conclude Michael was wrong
about that, who contradicted what the
Bible plainly says about the _fact_ that
Jesus was all about losing your life,
and who then tried to impute a false
narrative and motive to Michael's words
which they neither said nor
necessitated, to justify your false,
baseless condemnation and denial of the
Bible truth and fact that the Bible does

Notice the extreme difference there? “For MY Sake”.
[Show me where Michael said you should
lose your life for your own sake, or for
the sake of someone other than Christ,
you dumb liar. That's what _you_ said
and tried to impute as the necessary
meaning of what Michael said, when it is
not.
The extreme difference here, is not
between what Michael said and what the
Bible said (on this subject, he said
exactly what the Bible says). It's
between what Michael said and the
meaning you falsely tried to attribute
to what Michael said.]
Post by Robert
That was not noted by the OP, nor did you point it out.
[Of course it wasn't noted by the OP,
and now you admit it. It was noted by
you, contrary to the fact Michael said

twisted in your effort to present this
as a rational justification for your own

The OP didn't say you must lose your
life for your own sake or for the sake
of someone other than Christ. You tried
to impute that meaning to what he said,
despite the fact you now admit he didn't
note any such thing. You dumb, twisted
liar. How stupid do you think people
have to be to not notice your ongoing,
persistent efforts to impute false
narratives and motives to others?
You're the dumb hypocrite who had no
basis to conclude Michael was wrong
about that, who contradicted what the
Bible plainly says about the _fact_ that
Jesus was all about losing your life,
and who then tried to impute a false
narrative and motive to Michael's words
which they neither said nor
necessitated, to justify your false,
baseless condemnation and denial of the
Bible truth and fact that the Bible does
teach we should lose our lives, and the
fact this is the way of Jesus the
Messiah.
Yet here you are pretending like you're
pointing out some distinction that
everyone but you failed to notice.

I'm saving this one. Until you have a
change of mind about your deceitful
tactics and the false imputation of your
own false narratives and context to
nearly every discussion, I will regard
you as the deceitful troll, Diotrephes,
and dumb liar that your pattern
indicates you are.
Yes, yes, but it does not matter, because it is not about right and
wrong, ChristRose. That is a false flag, a hindrance to the truth, an
abyss, a bottomless pit.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
YET sinners, Christ died for us.

The Lord removed right and wrong, good and evil through His sacrifice.
The veil in the temple was rent in twain so that any man may enter. No
one is unworthy now; it is a choice, but choice, naturally, has
consequences.

"Ye shall surely die" meant all died, everything, everything is dead.
But, but, things are being born...all die and died. A baby is already
dying, dead. The whole universe is in entropy and time, death.

So, in the name of Jesus, smack-dab in the centre of everything now a
man stands, on his own, a million miles in all directions there is
nothing to condemn him. Failure does not exist, except in a lie.

So, what remains?

Not, right and wrong, or good and evil.

A life nowhere in a void until...Someone comes along...a Good
Samaritan...a Loving Father of a prodigal...a hen (the picture) that's
desire is to gather her chicks under her wings...

Luk 18:18  And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what
shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luk 18:19  And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is
good, save one, that is, God.

The rich young ruler's thinking is off, as the Lord is indicating. It
has nothing to do with good and evil, right and wrong.

Luk 18:20  Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not
kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy
mother.
Luk 18:21  And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

So what? Even if he did! The Lord Jesus didn't even regard it. He swept
it aside...

Luk 18:22  Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet
lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the
poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

It is a majestic look at the power of God to march a man right out of
the Old Testament and into the New! Magnificent, even when a man is
still in the Old—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the rest in the faith!

Notice where our rich young ruler lacked? It had nothing to do with
right and wrong, good and evil, the law and its condemnation.

Did you get all that, John?

"Lackest" in a person's life is totally defined as being without
Me—nothing to do with right and wrong, good and evil—when you come with
Me, your lack, all lack is gone!

The sheer marvellousness and great grace of the Lord!

affirming the secure foundation upon
which this hope is built. It describes
the Spirit’s work in our lives,
reminding us that our present sufferings
are incomparable to the glory that
awaits us. It culminates in a powerful
declaration of God’s unbreakable love,
which ensures that nothing can separate
us from Him. Romans 8 provides several
reasons why believers should hope for
glory, each rooted in the promises of
God and the work of the Spirit.
Romans 8 shows several reasons to hope
Because Christ Frees from Condemnation
(Romans 8:1-4)
Paul begins by stating that there is
"now no condemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). Christ's
sacrificial death liberates believers
from the guilt and penalty of sin,
assuring us of our place in God's family
and our future glorification. This
freedom from condemnation gives us a
firm basis to hope for the promised
glory, as God has justified us through
faith in Christ (Romans 5:1-2). The
epistles further affirm this by teaching
that our justification by faith results
in a sure hope of sharing in the glory
of God.
Because the Spirit Empowers Believers
(Romans 8:5-17)
Paul contrasts living according to the
flesh with living according to the
Spirit, teaching that those who are led
by the Spirit of God are the children of
God (Romans 8:14). The Spirit empowers
believers to live righteously and resist
sin, which is a foretaste of the glory
to come. This empowerment is a guarantee
of our future inheritance, as noted in
Ephesians 1:13-14, where the Spirit is
described as a deposit guaranteeing our
full redemption and glorification in the
future.
Because Glory Outweighs Suffering
(Romans 8:18-25)
Paul acknowledges that present
sufferings are part of our earthly
experience but assures believers that
these sufferings are not worth comparing
with the glory that will be revealed in
us (Romans 8:18). It's not that the
suffering is not bad. It's just that the
glory will be so much better by
comparison. This perspective encourages
believers to endure trials with the hope
that the future glory far surpasses any
present difficulties. Paul speaks of the
redemption of our bodies and the eager
expectation of creation for this
glorious transformation, which aligns
with 2 Corinthians 4:17, emphasizing
that our temporary troubles are
achieving an eternal glory.
Because the Spirit Intercedes (Romans
8:26-27)
Paul explains that the Spirit helps us
in our weakness by interceding for us
with groanings too deep for words
(Romans 8:26). This intercession aligns
our prayers with God's will, providing
comfort and assurance that God is
working everything out for our good and
His glory. The Spirit’s intercession
encourages us to hope for glory, knowing
that God’s Spirit is actively advocating
on our behalf, just as Hebrews 7:25
describes Jesus’ continual intercession
for us as our high priest.
Because God’s Love Secures Us (Romans
8:28-39)
Paul concludes with a declaration of
God's unwavering love, asserting that
nothing can separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:39). This unbreakable bond
assures us that our future glory is
secure, regardless of trials or
challenges. This assurance strengthens
our hope, as nothing in all creation can
sever the relationship between God and
His children. The epistles further
develop this theme, particularly in
Ephesians 1:4-5, where Paul speaks of
God's predestining love that guarantees
our future glory.
Invitation
If you are here today and have not
placed your trust in Christ, I urge you
to consider the message of Romans 8.
This chapter speaks of a life free from
condemnation, empowered by the Spirit,
and filled with hope for future glory
and assurance in God's love. All these
promises are available to those who are
in Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that
we all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, and the wages of sin is
death (Romans 3:23; 6:23). But God, in
His mercy, provided a way for us to be
reconciled to Him through the death and
resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Christ’s death on the cross paid the
penalty for our sins, satisfying God's
righteous demands. By raising Him from
the dead, God has proven that He has
accepted Christ's sacrifice on our
behalf. If you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). I
invite you to trust in Christ today, to
call on His name, and ask Him to save
you on the basis of Christ's
propitiating atonement for your sins.
Trust in His finished work, and you will
experience the peace, hope, and
confidence that only He can provide.
--
Have you heard the good news Christ died
for our sins (†), and God raised Him
from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows
we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the
dead shows Christ's death satisfied
God's righteous demands against our sin
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:1-2). This means
God can now remain just, while forgiving
you of your sins, and saving you from
eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and
resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you:
"For "everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved."" (Romans
10:13, ESV)

Romans 8 teaches that believers have a
certain hope in the future glory
promised by God. The chapter opens with
the assurance that there is no

You neglected a very, very, vital part of that scripture right out of the

Rom 8:1

who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
IOW’s not just those which are in Christ Jesus, but those who do not walk
in the flesh, but after the Spirit of God.
1) As will be seen below by any honest
person, you are the one who neglected to
read the article before you undertook to
pretend like you were correcting it.
There is no pretending on my part. Look and read. There is no reason for me
to pretend anything.
I read the whole thing, and there was a whole lot that you missed and needed
to be considered and also clarified. Which I also mentioned. That you took
offense to what I said, is carnal.

2) We know from your habit, that even
when people correctly state the truth,
you deny it based not on the content of
what they actually said, but on you
imputing and attributing to others what
you claim are false motives.
This is why, although Michael correctly
stated that Christ is all about losing
your life for God's purposes, you
blatantly denied it, and claimed it was
an error. When confronted by numerous
passages which show what he said was
exactly correct, you still persisted
with your accusation it was in error, on
the grounds that--according to you--it
was not presented with the correct
motives. You've done many, many similar

Thus, I perceive you are a judgmental,
deceitful troll who has ruined his

affirming the secure foundation upon
which this hope is built. It describes
the Spirit’s work in our lives,
reminding us that our present sufferings
are incomparable to the glory that
awaits us. It culminates in a powerful
declaration of God’s unbreakable love,
which ensures that nothing can separate
us from Him. Romans 8 provides several
reasons why believers should hope for
glory, each rooted in the promises of
God and the work of the Spirit.
Romans 8 shows several reasons to hope
Because Christ Frees from Condemnation
(Romans 8:1-4)
Paul begins by stating that there is
"now no condemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). Christ's
sacrificial death liberates believers
from the guilt and penalty of sin,
assuring us of our place in God's family
and our future glorification. This
freedom from condemnation gives us a
firm basis to hope for the promised
glory, as God has justified us through
faith in Christ (Romans 5:1-2). The
epistles further affirm this by teaching
that our justification by faith results
in a sure hope of sharing in the glory
of God.
Because the Spirit Empowers Believers
(Romans 8:5-17)
Paul contrasts living according to the
flesh with living according to the
Spirit, teaching that those who are led
by the Spirit of God are the children of
God (Romans 8:14). The Spirit empowers
believers to live righteously and resist
sin, which is a foretaste of the glory
to come. This empowerment is a guarantee
of our future inheritance, as noted in
Ephesians 1:13-14, where the Spirit is
described as a deposit guaranteeing our
full redemption and glorification in the
future.
Because Glory Outweighs Suffering
(Romans 8:18-25)
Paul acknowledges that present
sufferings are part of our earthly
experience but assures believers that
these sufferings are not worth comparing
with the glory that will be revealed in
us (Romans 8:18). It's not that the
suffering is not bad. It's just that the
glory will be so much better by
comparison. This perspective encourages
believers to endure trials with the hope
that the future glory far surpasses any
present difficulties. Paul speaks of the
redemption of our bodies and the eager
expectation of creation for this
glorious transformation, which aligns
with 2 Corinthians 4:17, emphasizing
that our temporary troubles are
achieving an eternal glory.
Because the Spirit Intercedes (Romans
8:26-27)
Paul explains that the Spirit helps us
in our weakness by interceding for us
with groanings too deep for words
(Romans 8:26). This intercession aligns
our prayers with God's will, providing
comfort and assurance that God is
working everything out for our good and
His glory. The Spirit’s intercession
encourages us to hope for glory, knowing
that God’s Spirit is actively advocating
on our behalf, just as Hebrews 7:25
describes Jesus’ continual intercession
for us as our high priest.
Because God’s Love Secures Us (Romans
8:28-39)
Paul concludes with a declaration of
God's unwavering love, asserting that
nothing can separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:39). This unbreakable bond
assures us that our future glory is
secure, regardless of trials or
challenges. This assurance strengthens
our hope, as nothing in all creation can
sever the relationship between God and
His children. The epistles further
develop this theme, particularly in
Ephesians 1:4-5, where Paul speaks of
God's predestining love that guarantees
our future glory.
Invitation
If you are here today and have not
placed your trust in Christ, I urge you
to consider the message of Romans 8.
This chapter speaks of a life free from
condemnation, empowered by the Spirit,
and filled with hope for future glory
and assurance in God's love. All these
promises are available to those who are
in Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that
we all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, and the wages of sin is
death (Romans 3:23; 6:23). But God, in
His mercy, provided a way for us to be
reconciled to Him through the death and
resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Christ’s death on the cross paid the
penalty for our sins, satisfying God's
righteous demands. By raising Him from
the dead, God has proven that He has
accepted Christ's sacrifice on our
behalf. If you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). I
invite you to trust in Christ today, to
call on His name, and ask Him to save
you on the basis of Christ's
propitiating atonement for your sins.
Trust in His finished work, and you will
experience the peace, hope, and
confidence that only He can provide.
