No one can agree upon "God's will"; if you disagree,
name an example of what God wills.

It is God's desire and His will for you to
be saved.

"For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world
through Him might be saved."

No. It is not God's will that you go into
the fire. But He respects your choice.

"I have no pleasure in the death of anyone,
declares the Lord God; therefore repent
and live." ~ Ezekiel 18:32

"But all cowards, unbelieving [infidels and
atheists], abominable persons, murderers
sexually immoral, and those who practice
magic spells, idol worshipers, and all liars
shall have their part in the lake that burns
with fire and brimstone: This is the second
death." ~ Revelation 21:8

This is in contrast to those who are saved
who will exist in the next realm where the
former things will have been passed away.

"And God will wipe away every tear from
their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor
sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more
pain, for the former things have passed
away." ~ Revelation 21:4

Doesn't that seem like a

You ask a great question, Michael! Aristotle, long ago, asked similar
questions, and concluded that there must be a "Prime Mover" based upon
universal observations that when one stops pushing something (say, a
cart) that something stops moving.

In the early 1600s, Galileo Galilei forever disproved Aristotelian
mechanics, discovering a specific form of the law of inertia, which the
philosopher René Descartes generalized and which Isaac Newton
mathematically described in his Principia. It was Newton's friend,
Edmond Halley, who recognized that the comet that now bears his name
would return again in 1758. While Halley did not live to see the comet
(he died over a decade earlier), countless others did.

And, so began the Enlightenment...

There is nothing eternal in the physical universe, Cupcake Self-Inertia.
I am still waiting for that perpetual motion machine; there must be
dozens of them. :-). It seems like a perpetual wait, though.

No one can agree upon "God's will"; if you disagree,
name an example of what God wills.
Dawn
It is God's desire and His will for you to
be saved.
Is everything that happens "God's will"?
No. It is not God's will that you go into
the fire. But He respects your choice.
So things happen that are
contrary to God's will.
Doesn't that seem like a
rather....limited...deity?
It is His will for you to make right choices
and avoid trouble. But you have freedom
to rebel and suffer the consequences.

You can't blame God for your own willful
foolishness.

Evasion noted.

Either everything that happens
is God's will or things happen that
are contrary to God's will.

Which is it?

Yes, and He will return in power and glory to
take us to the good place He has prepared for
us.

"I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again
and will take you to myself, that where I am,
you may be also." ~ John 14

"When the Son of Man comes, everyone will
see him. It will be like lightning flashing in
the sky that can be seen everywhere."
