Here is an example of the difference between walking in the Spirit with
the Lord and walking in self with your bible interpretations.

No comparison.

God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David.

So, all ChristRose and Robert Religion have got is what the bible says
according to their own flawed interpretations: 'Solomon asked for
wisdom.' They make of that what THEY WILL in their impure minds and
self-deceived hearts.

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees
or our modern sinner Christians equivalent; there is the proof of the
"ever learning" going nowhere.

See the difference.

Solomon asked for wisdom. What would have God preferred was for Solomon
to ask for a heart for Him like his father David. There is a very
beautiful thing about the Lord in that...later.

If carnality can't find it in their bible, like, for instance...

"You cannot be free, and free indeed with guilt in your heart."

...it is not biblical, not biblical truth.

Truth supersedes their carnality, you see?

Oh, but all truth is very, very biblical, and Words from God are written
down in the hearts of those that are His.

2 Cor 3:3
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ
ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the
living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

You don't see the truth (God) because you are made yourself the truth (God).

Here is an example of the difference between walking in the Spirit with
the Lord and walking in self with your bible interpretations.
No comparison.
God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David.
1) "Example"? You cite no example here.
You make up a hypothetical which never
happened, and which is never stated in
Scripture. This is evidence of how you
delude yourself with your own ideas, and
place your own ideas above what the
Bible actually states.

2) Here's an actual example from what
the Bible actually says:

1. Daily Meditation and Reflection

“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)

David speaks of his meditation on God's
statutes "all the day" (v. 97). This
indicates a continuous engagement, where
his thoughts frequently return to the
insights and wisdom found in the Word.

2. Constant Delight

“for I find my delight in your
commandments, which I love.” (Psalm
119:47, ESV)

His delight in God's testimonies is not
occasional but "as much as in all
riches" (v. 14). David values the Word
of God more highly than great wealth,
suggesting a consistent engagement over
fleeting pleasures or material gain.

3. Night Watches

“My eyes are awake before the watches of
the night, that I may meditate on your
promise.” (Psalm 119:148, ESV)

Even during the "night watches," David
uses this time to meditate on God's word
(v. 148), showing his dedication to
reflecting on Scripture outside of the
daily routines and responsibilities.

4. Persistent Prayer

“Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm
119:18, ESV)

David's prayers for understanding and
guidance are woven throughout,
indicating a regular dialogue with God
about His Word (v. 18). This verse
implies a continual seeking of insight
and illumination from the Scriptures.

5. Lifelong Obedience

“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)

David's commitment to obey God's laws is
described as a lifelong pursuit (v. 44),
indicating an ongoing, regular
engagement with God's commandments.

6. Continuous Learning and Growth

“Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your
statutes!” (Psalm 119:12, ESV)

He seeks teaching from God's statutes
(v. 12), indicating a posture of
continuous learning and growth in
understanding the depths of God's Word.

7. Ever-present Hope

“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114,
ESV)

David's hope in God's word is described
as something that sustains him "all the
day" (v. 114). This ongoing hope points
to a constant reliance on the promises
found in Scripture.

8. Regular Recitation

“I will delight in your statutes; I will
not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:16,
ESV)

David commits to not forgetting God's
word (v. 16), suggesting a practice of
regular recitation or review to keep it
fresh in his mind and heart.

These references collectively show that
David's engagement with the Word of God
was not sporadic or confined to specific
occasions but was a regular, integral
part of his daily life. His approach
encompasses meditation, delight, prayer,
obedience, learning, hope, and
recitation, reflecting a holistic
engagement with Scripture that nourished
his soul, guided his actions, and
anchored his hope continually.

Devoted Engagement

Psalm 119 stands as the longest chapter
in the Bible, and it serves as a
profound testament to the
Psalmist's—traditionally understood to
be David—deep and multifaceted
relationship with God's Word. The Psalm,
structured as an acrostic poem using the
Hebrew alphabet, reveals David's
attitude toward the Scriptures through
various lenses. Let's explore these
dimension:

1. Reverence

“You have appointed your testimonies in
righteousness and in all faithfulness.”
(Psalm 119:138, ESV)

“Your testimonies are righteous forever;
give me understanding that I may live.”
(Psalm 119:144, ESV)

David demonstrates a profound reverence
for God's laws, precepts, and decrees,
recognizing them as perfect and holy (v.
138). This reverence is not born out of
obligation but out of a deep-seated
recognition of God's sovereignty and the
perfection of His Word. David sees God's
commands as a source of wisdom and life
(v. 144).

2. Love and Delight

“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)

“How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm
119:103, ESV)

Repeatedly, David expresses his love for
God's Word, finding joy and delight in
meditating on it day and night (v. 97).
This love surpasses a mere duty; it is a
heartfelt affection that treasures the
richness and beauty of God's
instructions above all worldly treasures
(v. 103).

3. Dependence

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)

David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.

4. Obedience and Commitment

“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)

“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)

Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).

5. Trust and Faith

“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)

“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)

David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).

6. Reflection and Meditation

“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)

“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)

An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).

7. Petition and Hope

“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)

David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).

In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.

So, all ChristRose and Robert Religion have got is what the bible says
according to their own flawed interpretations: 'Solomon asked for
wisdom.' They make of that what THEY WILL in their impure minds and
self-deceived hearts.
No, all you have is what you make up in
your impure mind and self-deceived
heart. John says so:

“If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His
word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8–10,
NKJV)

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees
or our modern sinner Christians equivalent; there is the proof of the
"ever learning" going nowhere.
And as the Pharisees, Michael calls
everyone else a "sinner whore", while
claiming he himself does not have a sin
nature or ever sin. You couldn't be a
bigger, more self-evident hypocrite.
You're like the Publican who thanks God
every day that he's not like the "sinner
whore" over there, while we watch you
sinning, cussing people out, etc.

See the difference.
Yeah. You operate out of the imagination
of your heart and self-deceit. Others
operate on the basis of what God said in
the Bible.

Glad you mentioned David as a man after
God's own heart. He clearly relished,
studied, and engaged with the Scriptures
day and night. You manufacture your own
religion rather than admit what the
truth of Scripture plainly states.

Paul was contrasting himself with the
"super apostles" who boasted about their
letters of recommendation from _men_.
Paul was saying the fruit of their
ministry was evident in the lives of the
Corinthian believers, so that they do
not need letters of recommendation from
men. He was in no way trying to contrast
the word of God with the fruit of God.

PS: "God has to be quiet now, we have our bible." :-). Well, then, who
is going to speak? :-).
No, it's the other way around. You want
everyone to put their Bible down and be
quiet about what it says, so it doesn't
interfere with the imaginations of your
heart. You couldn't be a bigger, more
self-evident, self-deceived hypocrite.

You want the word of God to shut up so
you can pretend like you are speaking
superior wisdom "from the heart".
Anything you say which is not consistent
with Scripture, is a self-deceived lie,
even if it comes from your heart.

Have you heard the good news Christ died
for our sins (†), and God raised Him
from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows
we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the
dead shows Christ's death satisfied
God's righteous demands against our sin
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:1-2). This means
God can now remain just, while forgiving
you of your sins, and saving you from
eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and
resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you:
"For "everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved."" (Romans
10:13, ESV)

Here is an example of the difference between walking in the Spirit with
the Lord and walking in self with your bible interpretations.
No comparison.
God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David.
Here is the perfect example of AI Rosie’ inability to read with
comprehension, or is it that he/she/it just wanted to shift the topic.

MM was speaking about Solomon, you were speaking of King David.
How typical of you.
Post by Christ Rose
1) "Example"? You cite no example here.
You make up a hypothetical which never
happened, and which is never stated in
Scripture. This is evidence of how you
delude yourself with your own ideas, and
place your own ideas above what the
Bible actually states.
2) Here's an actual example from what
1. Daily Meditation and Reflection
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
David speaks of his meditation on God's
statutes "all the day" (v. 97). This
indicates a continuous engagement, where
his thoughts frequently return to the
insights and wisdom found in the Word.
2. Constant Delight
“for I find my delight in your
commandments, which I love.” (Psalm
119:47, ESV)
His delight in God's testimonies is not
occasional but "as much as in all
riches" (v. 14). David values the Word
of God more highly than great wealth,
suggesting a consistent engagement over
fleeting pleasures or material gain.
3. Night Watches
“My eyes are awake before the watches of
the night, that I may meditate on your
promise.” (Psalm 119:148, ESV)
Even during the "night watches," David
uses this time to meditate on God's word
(v. 148), showing his dedication to
reflecting on Scripture outside of the
daily routines and responsibilities.
4. Persistent Prayer
“Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm
119:18, ESV)
David's prayers for understanding and
guidance are woven throughout,
indicating a regular dialogue with God
about His Word (v. 18). This verse
implies a continual seeking of insight
and illumination from the Scriptures.
5. Lifelong Obedience
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
David's commitment to obey God's laws is
described as a lifelong pursuit (v. 44),
indicating an ongoing, regular
engagement with God's commandments.
6. Continuous Learning and Growth
“Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your
statutes!” (Psalm 119:12, ESV)
He seeks teaching from God's statutes
(v. 12), indicating a posture of
continuous learning and growth in
understanding the depths of God's Word.
7. Ever-present Hope
“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114,
ESV)
David's hope in God's word is described
as something that sustains him "all the
day" (v. 114). This ongoing hope points
to a constant reliance on the promises
found in Scripture.
8. Regular Recitation
“I will delight in your statutes; I will
not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:16,
ESV)
David commits to not forgetting God's
word (v. 16), suggesting a practice of
regular recitation or review to keep it
fresh in his mind and heart.
These references collectively show that
David's engagement with the Word of God
was not sporadic or confined to specific
occasions but was a regular, integral
part of his daily life. His approach
encompasses meditation, delight, prayer,
obedience, learning, hope, and
recitation, reflecting a holistic
engagement with Scripture that nourished
his soul, guided his actions, and
anchored his hope continually.
Devoted Engagement
Psalm 119 stands as the longest chapter
in the Bible, and it serves as a
profound testament to the
Psalmist's—traditionally understood to
be David—deep and multifaceted
relationship with God's Word. The Psalm,
structured as an acrostic poem using the
Hebrew alphabet, reveals David's
attitude toward the Scriptures through
various lenses. Let's explore these
1. Reverence
“You have appointed your testimonies in
righteousness and in all faithfulness.”
(Psalm 119:138, ESV)
“Your testimonies are righteous forever;
give me understanding that I may live.”
(Psalm 119:144, ESV)
David demonstrates a profound reverence
for God's laws, precepts, and decrees,
recognizing them as perfect and holy (v.
138). This reverence is not born out of
obligation but out of a deep-seated
recognition of God's sovereignty and the
perfection of His Word. David sees God's
commands as a source of wisdom and life
(v. 144).
2. Love and Delight
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
“How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm
119:103, ESV)
Repeatedly, David expresses his love for
God's Word, finding joy and delight in
meditating on it day and night (v. 97).
This love surpasses a mere duty; it is a
heartfelt affection that treasures the
richness and beauty of God's
instructions above all worldly treasures
(v. 103).
3. Dependence
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.
4. Obedience and Commitment
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)
Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).
5. Trust and Faith
“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)
“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)
David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).
6. Reflection and Meditation
“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)
“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)
An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).
7. Petition and Hope
“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)
David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees

And as the Pharisees, Michael calls

You're like the Publican who thanks God

No, here's another example of you being
a Bible contradicting idiot, and devil's
advocate:

1) There is no Bible example of God
saying Solomon should have asked for a
heart like David. That is his mere
assumption and hypothesis. The Bible
says God was pleased with Solomon's
request:

“And now, O LORD my God, you have made
your servant king in place of David my
father, although I am but a little
child. I do not know how to go out or
come in. And your servant is in the
midst of your people whom you have
chosen, a great people, too many to be
numbered or counted for multitude. Give
your servant therefore an understanding
mind to govern your people, that I may
discern between good and evil, for who
is able to govern this your great
people?” It pleased the Lord that
Solomon had asked this.” (1 Kings
3:7–10, ESV)

2) While he correctly identifies David
as being a man after God's own heart, he
denies what David proclaimed, which is
his love for the written word of God.
Anyone who reads Psalm 119 and denies
that a man after God's own heart devoted
himself in love to the written word of
God, is a tool of Satan.

He was not citing anything the Bible
actually says about Solomon, you devil's
advocate troll and idiot. He was
hypothesizing about what he thinks (in
his "heart") Solomon should have done,
based on his own imagination, and
contrary to the Scripture.

Thus, you play the role of troll and
idiotic, Bible contradicting, devil's
advocate, for a view which seeks to
undermine God's word, and tell people to
put it down and walk away from it, in
favor of the imaginations of their
self-deceived hearts.

You share in his ministry of assault
against God's word and effort to promote
his own imagination over the word of
God. I have no doubt that at some point,
God will hold you accountable for your
participation in his ministry of trying
to undermine God's word to promote the
self-deceived imaginations of his own
corrupt heart.

Have you heard the good news Christ died
for our sins (†), and God raised Him
from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows
we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the
dead shows Christ's death satisfied
God's righteous demands against our sin
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:1-2). This means
God can now remain just, while forgiving
you of your sins, and saving you from
eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and
resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you:
"For "everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved."" (Romans
10:13, ESV)

(snip the usual ChristRose doubling-down in his sin state.)

It is not that hard to hear God if your ear is 'inclined'—that's all—to
hear Him and not inclined to sin-state-self.

"God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David."

You have to know God for this, but even so, the Father of us all has a
son (Solomon). Does He want his son to want Him, first and foremost, or
some tool (wisdom) for doing other stuff?

Isn't it obvious, anyway? It is to a soft heart.

Is God primarily head or heart by far?

John, if ChristRose hadn't hardened his heart? On a cold night, it would
be like slipping into a nice warm pair of pyjamas after a shower—he
would get understanding—but he now appears to be willing to chase the
chosen all the way to the Red Sea in his own name.

That is what happens when you kick against the pricks and will not stop.
It always ends in tears.

No, here's another example of you being
a Bible contradicting idiot, and devil's
MM made a statement, you ignored it, that is obvious to all.
Post by Christ Rose
1) There is no Bible example of God
saying Solomon should have asked for a
heart like David. That is his mere
assumption and hypothesis. The Bible
says God was pleased with Solomon's
“And now, O LORD my God, you have made
your servant king in place of David my
father, although I am but a little
child. I do not know how to go out or
come in. And your servant is in the
midst of your people whom you have
chosen, a great people, too many to be
numbered or counted for multitude. Give
your servant therefore an understanding
mind to govern your people, that I may
discern between good and evil, for who
is able to govern this your great
people?” It pleased the Lord that
Solomon had asked this.” (1 Kings
3:7–10, ESV)
2) While he correctly identifies David
as being a man after God's own heart, he
denies what David proclaimed, which is
his love for the written word of God.
Anyone who reads Psalm 119 and denies
that a man after God's own heart devoted
himself in love to the written word of
God, is a tool of Satan.

MM was speaking about Solomon, you were speaking of King David.
How typical of you.
He was not citing anything the Bible
actually says about Solomon, you devil's
advocate troll and idiot. He was
hypothesizing about what he thinks (in
his "heart") Solomon should have done,
based on his own imagination, and
contrary to the Scripture.
Thus, you play the role of troll and
idiotic, Bible contradicting, devil's
advocate, for a view which seeks to
undermine God's word, and tell people to
put it down and walk away from it, in
favor of the imaginations of their
self-deceived hearts.
You share in his ministry of assault
against God's word and effort to promote
his own imagination over the word of
God. I have no doubt that at some point,
God will hold you accountable for your
participation in his ministry of trying
to undermine God's word to promote the
self-deceived imaginations of his own
corrupt heart.

1) "Example"? You cite no example here.
You make up a hypothetical which never
happened, and which is never stated in
Scripture. This is evidence of how you
delude yourself with your own ideas, and
place your own ideas above what the
Bible actually states.
2) Here's an actual example from what
1. Daily Meditation and Reflection
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
David speaks of his meditation on God's
statutes "all the day" (v. 97). This
indicates a continuous engagement, where
his thoughts frequently return to the
insights and wisdom found in the Word.
2. Constant Delight
“for I find my delight in your
commandments, which I love.” (Psalm
119:47, ESV)
His delight in God's testimonies is not
occasional but "as much as in all
riches" (v. 14). David values the Word
of God more highly than great wealth,
suggesting a consistent engagement over
fleeting pleasures or material gain.
3. Night Watches
“My eyes are awake before the watches of
the night, that I may meditate on your
promise.” (Psalm 119:148, ESV)
Even during the "night watches," David
uses this time to meditate on God's word
(v. 148), showing his dedication to
reflecting on Scripture outside of the
daily routines and responsibilities.
4. Persistent Prayer
“Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm
119:18, ESV)
David's prayers for understanding and
guidance are woven throughout,
indicating a regular dialogue with God
about His Word (v. 18). This verse
implies a continual seeking of insight
and illumination from the Scriptures.
5. Lifelong Obedience
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
David's commitment to obey God's laws is
described as a lifelong pursuit (v. 44),
indicating an ongoing, regular
engagement with God's commandments.
6. Continuous Learning and Growth
“Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your
statutes!” (Psalm 119:12, ESV)
He seeks teaching from God's statutes
(v. 12), indicating a posture of
continuous learning and growth in
understanding the depths of God's Word.
7. Ever-present Hope
“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114,
ESV)
David's hope in God's word is described
as something that sustains him "all the
day" (v. 114). This ongoing hope points
to a constant reliance on the promises
found in Scripture.
8. Regular Recitation
“I will delight in your statutes; I will
not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:16,
ESV)
David commits to not forgetting God's
word (v. 16), suggesting a practice of
regular recitation or review to keep it
fresh in his mind and heart.
These references collectively show that
David's engagement with the Word of God
was not sporadic or confined to specific
occasions but was a regular, integral
part of his daily life. His approach
encompasses meditation, delight, prayer,
obedience, learning, hope, and
recitation, reflecting a holistic
engagement with Scripture that nourished
his soul, guided his actions, and
anchored his hope continually.
Devoted Engagement
Psalm 119 stands as the longest chapter
in the Bible, and it serves as a
profound testament to the
Psalmist's—traditionally understood to
be David—deep and multifaceted
relationship with God's Word. The Psalm,
structured as an acrostic poem using the
Hebrew alphabet, reveals David's
attitude toward the Scriptures through
various lenses. Let's explore these
1. Reverence
“You have appointed your testimonies in
righteousness and in all faithfulness.”
(Psalm 119:138, ESV)
“Your testimonies are righteous forever;
give me understanding that I may live.”
(Psalm 119:144, ESV)
David demonstrates a profound reverence
for God's laws, precepts, and decrees,
recognizing them as perfect and holy (v.
138). This reverence is not born out of
obligation but out of a deep-seated
recognition of God's sovereignty and the
perfection of His Word. David sees God's
commands as a source of wisdom and life
(v. 144).
2. Love and Delight
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
“How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm
119:103, ESV)
Repeatedly, David expresses his love for
God's Word, finding joy and delight in
meditating on it day and night (v. 97).
This love surpasses a mere duty; it is a
heartfelt affection that treasures the
richness and beauty of God's
instructions above all worldly treasures
(v. 103).
3. Dependence
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.
4. Obedience and Commitment
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)
Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).
5. Trust and Faith
“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)
“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)
David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).
6. Reflection and Meditation
“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)
“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)
An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).
7. Petition and Hope
“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)
David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.

So, all ChristRose and Robert Religion have got is what the bible says
according to their own flawed interpretations: 'Solomon asked for
wisdom.' They make of that what THEY WILL in their impure minds and
self-deceived hearts.
No, all you have is what you make up in
your impure mind and self-deceived
“If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His
word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8–10,
NKJV)

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees
or our modern sinner Christians equivalent; there is the proof of the
"ever learning" going nowhere.
And as the Pharisees, Michael calls
everyone else a "sinner whore", while
claiming he himself does not have a sin
nature or ever sin. You couldn't be a
bigger, more self-evident hypocrite.
You're like the Publican who thanks God
every day that he's not like the "sinner
whore" over there, while we watch you
sinning, cussing people out, etc.

See the difference.
Yeah. You operate out of the imagination
of your heart and self-deceit. Others
operate on the basis of what God said in
the Bible.

Solomon asked for wisdom. What would have God preferred was for Solomon
to ask for a heart for Him like his father David. There is a very
beautiful thing about the Lord in that...later.
Glad you mentioned David as a man after
God's own heart. He clearly relished,
studied, and engaged with the Scriptures
day and night. You manufacture your own
religion rather than admit what the
truth of Scripture plainly states.

Paul was contrasting himself with the
"super apostles" who boasted about their
letters of recommendation from _men_.
Paul was saying the fruit of their
ministry was evident in the lives of the
Corinthian believers, so that they do
not need letters of recommendation from
men. He was in no way trying to contrast
the word of God with the fruit of God.

PS: "God has to be quiet now, we have our bible." :-). Well, then, who
is going to speak? :-).
No, it's the other way around. You want
everyone to put their Bible down and be
quiet about what it says, so it doesn't
interfere with the imaginations of your
heart. You couldn't be a bigger, more
self-evident, self-deceived hypocrite.
You want the word of God to shut up so
you can pretend like you are speaking
superior wisdom "from the heart".
Anything you say which is not consistent
with Scripture, is a self-deceived lie,
even if it comes from your heart.

goes for his neighbour's jugular vein in his covetous sinner state.

Your ways are evil, SinnerRose, and you are an unrepentant, bad-guy

Also, the level of your non-niceness and badnessness is getting worse!

(v. 103).
3. Dependence
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.
4. Obedience and Commitment
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)
Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).
5. Trust and Faith
“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)
“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)
David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).
6. Reflection and Meditation
“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)
“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)
An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).
7. Petition and Hope
“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)
David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.

So, all ChristRose and Robert Religion have got is what the bible says
according to their own flawed interpretations: 'Solomon asked for
wisdom.' They make of that what THEY WILL in their impure minds and
self-deceived hearts.
No, all you have is what you make up in
your impure mind and self-deceived
“If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His
word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8–10,
NKJV)

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees
or our modern sinner Christians equivalent; there is the proof of the
"ever learning" going nowhere.
And as the Pharisees, Michael calls
everyone else a "sinner whore", while
claiming he himself does not have a sin
nature or ever sin. You couldn't be a
bigger, more self-evident hypocrite.
You're like the Publican who thanks God
every day that he's not like the "sinner
whore" over there, while we watch you
sinning, cussing people out, etc.

See the difference.
Yeah. You operate out of the imagination
of your heart and self-deceit. Others
operate on the basis of what God said in
the Bible.

Solomon asked for wisdom. What would have God preferred was for Solomon
to ask for a heart for Him like his father David. There is a very
beautiful thing about the Lord in that...later.
Glad you mentioned David as a man after
God's own heart. He clearly relished,
studied, and engaged with the Scriptures
day and night. You manufacture your own
religion rather than admit what the
truth of Scripture plainly states.

Paul was contrasting himself with the
"super apostles" who boasted about their
letters of recommendation from _men_.
Paul was saying the fruit of their
ministry was evident in the lives of the
Corinthian believers, so that they do
not need letters of recommendation from
men. He was in no way trying to contrast
the word of God with the fruit of God.

PS: "God has to be quiet now, we have our bible." :-). Well, then, who
is going to speak? :-).
No, it's the other way around. You want
everyone to put their Bible down and be
quiet about what it says, so it doesn't
interfere with the imaginations of your
heart. You couldn't be a bigger, more
self-evident, self-deceived hypocrite.
You want the word of God to shut up so
you can pretend like you are speaking
superior wisdom "from the heart".
Anything you say which is not consistent
with Scripture, is a self-deceived lie,
even if it comes from your heart.

:-). Actually, John, that is somewhat of a good point. :-). CrappyRose
is trying to defend himself as scripture truth.

CringeRose reminds me of a man trying to put a finger in a dam with 11
holes and counting. :-).

I shouldn't laugh, I suppose, because it is truly sad. The guy has spent
his life invested in a religion lie. Though, it is his own choice.

Certainly, the Lord tried to do something for him, but all he ever does
in double-down on his own will.

1) "Example"? You cite no example here.
You make up a hypothetical which never
happened, and which is never stated in
Scripture. This is evidence of how you
delude yourself with your own ideas, and
place your own ideas above what the
Bible actually states.
2) Here's an actual example from what
1. Daily Meditation and Reflection
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
David speaks of his meditation on God's
statutes "all the day" (v. 97). This
indicates a continuous engagement, where
his thoughts frequently return to the
insights and wisdom found in the Word.
2. Constant Delight
“for I find my delight in your
commandments, which I love.” (Psalm
119:47, ESV)
His delight in God's testimonies is not
occasional but "as much as in all
riches" (v. 14). David values the Word
of God more highly than great wealth,
suggesting a consistent engagement over
fleeting pleasures or material gain.
3. Night Watches
“My eyes are awake before the watches of
the night, that I may meditate on your
promise.” (Psalm 119:148, ESV)
Even during the "night watches," David
uses this time to meditate on God's word
(v. 148), showing his dedication to
reflecting on Scripture outside of the
daily routines and responsibilities.
4. Persistent Prayer
“Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm
119:18, ESV)
David's prayers for understanding and
guidance are woven throughout,
indicating a regular dialogue with God
about His Word (v. 18). This verse
implies a continual seeking of insight
and illumination from the Scriptures.
5. Lifelong Obedience
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
David's commitment to obey God's laws is
described as a lifelong pursuit (v. 44),
indicating an ongoing, regular
engagement with God's commandments.
6. Continuous Learning and Growth
“Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your
statutes!” (Psalm 119:12, ESV)
He seeks teaching from God's statutes
(v. 12), indicating a posture of
continuous learning and growth in
understanding the depths of God's Word.
7. Ever-present Hope
“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114,
ESV)
David's hope in God's word is described
as something that sustains him "all the
day" (v. 114). This ongoing hope points
to a constant reliance on the promises
found in Scripture.
8. Regular Recitation
“I will delight in your statutes; I will
not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:16,
ESV)
David commits to not forgetting God's
word (v. 16), suggesting a practice of
regular recitation or review to keep it
fresh in his mind and heart.
These references collectively show that
David's engagement with the Word of God
was not sporadic or confined to specific
occasions but was a regular, integral
part of his daily life. His approach
encompasses meditation, delight, prayer,
obedience, learning, hope, and
recitation, reflecting a holistic
engagement with Scripture that nourished
his soul, guided his actions, and
anchored his hope continually.
Devoted Engagement
Psalm 119 stands as the longest chapter
in the Bible, and it serves as a
profound testament to the
Psalmist's—traditionally understood to
be David—deep and multifaceted
relationship with God's Word. The Psalm,
structured as an acrostic poem using the
Hebrew alphabet, reveals David's
attitude toward the Scriptures through
various lenses. Let's explore these
1. Reverence
“You have appointed your testimonies in
righteousness and in all faithfulness.”
(Psalm 119:138, ESV)
“Your testimonies are righteous forever;
give me understanding that I may live.”
(Psalm 119:144, ESV)
David demonstrates a profound reverence
for God's laws, precepts, and decrees,
recognizing them as perfect and holy (v.
138). This reverence is not born out of
obligation but out of a deep-seated
recognition of God's sovereignty and the
perfection of His Word. David sees God's
commands as a source of wisdom and life
(v. 144).
2. Love and Delight
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
“How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm
119:103, ESV)
Repeatedly, David expresses his love for
God's Word, finding joy and delight in
meditating on it day and night (v. 97).
This love surpasses a mere duty; it is a
heartfelt affection that treasures the
richness and beauty of God's
instructions above all worldly treasures
(v. 103).
3. Dependence
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.
4. Obedience and Commitment
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)
Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).
5. Trust and Faith
“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)
“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)
David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).
6. Reflection and Meditation
“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)
“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)
An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).
7. Petition and Hope
“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)
David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.

So, all ChristRose and Robert Religion have got is what the bible says
according to their own flawed interpretations: 'Solomon asked for
wisdom.' They make of that what THEY WILL in their impure minds and
self-deceived hearts.
No, all you have is what you make up in
your impure mind and self-deceived
“If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His
word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8–10,
NKJV)

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees
or our modern sinner Christians equivalent; there is the proof of the
"ever learning" going nowhere.
And as the Pharisees, Michael calls
everyone else a "sinner whore", while
claiming he himself does not have a sin
nature or ever sin. You couldn't be a
bigger, more self-evident hypocrite.
You're like the Publican who thanks God
every day that he's not like the "sinner
whore" over there, while we watch you
sinning, cussing people out, etc.

See the difference.
Yeah. You operate out of the imagination
of your heart and self-deceit. Others
operate on the basis of what God said in
the Bible.

Solomon asked for wisdom. What would have God preferred was for Solomon
to ask for a heart for Him like his father David. There is a very
beautiful thing about the Lord in that...later.
Glad you mentioned David as a man after
God's own heart. He clearly relished,
studied, and engaged with the Scriptures
day and night. You manufacture your own
religion rather than admit what the
truth of Scripture plainly states.

Paul was contrasting himself with the
"super apostles" who boasted about their
letters of recommendation from _men_.
Paul was saying the fruit of their
ministry was evident in the lives of the
Corinthian believers, so that they do
not need letters of recommendation from
men. He was in no way trying to contrast
the word of God with the fruit of God.

PS: "God has to be quiet now, we have our bible." :-). Well, then, who
is going to speak? :-).
No, it's the other way around. You want
everyone to put their Bible down and be
quiet about what it says, so it doesn't
interfere with the imaginations of your
heart. You couldn't be a bigger, more
self-evident, self-deceived hypocrite.
You want the word of God to shut up so
you can pretend like you are speaking
superior wisdom "from the heart".
Anything you say which is not consistent
with Scripture, is a self-deceived lie,
even if it comes from your heart.

I shouldn't laugh, I suppose, because it is truly sad. The guy has spent
his life invested in a religion lie. Though, it is his own choice.
This is from a guy who promoted Himself to Christ because
He hasn't sinned for 37 years. Now the whole universe
exists at the whim of this one obscure Usenet kook.

Now that's investing your life in a religious lie.

It might be "truly sad", but the kook is pleased with his
life.

John, the usual crap from atheist King Bong. He hasn't got life, so he
has nothing better to do than to offer death to the neighbour he doesn't
approve of. He has missed his calling as a sinner Christian. :-).

It's all water off a duck's back to me. I've had years of Bong's vain,
endless dead bullshit. He likes to think he is important through being a
clever little boy. :-).

Anyway, the Lord Jesus (God) can cleanse a man of all unrighteousness
through faith in Him. They do not desire that, so they remain in their
sin, whoredom, and death.

It is the same ol' thing; whether it is a sinner Christian or an atheist
(same spirit), they try to level at a son of God that he somehow raised
himself up, whereas that is all they are ever trying to do. :-).

At the expense of their neighbour, of course. Tragic. Anyone would think
this was politics, but don't worry, the Lord Jesus is going to drain the
swamp. :-).

Here is an example of the difference between walking in the Spirit with
the Lord and walking in self with your bible interpretations.
No comparison.
God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David.
1) "Example"? You cite no example here.
You make up a hypothetical which never
happened, and which is never stated in
Scripture. This is evidence of how you
delude yourself with your own ideas, and
place your own ideas above what the
Bible actually states.
2) Here's an actual example from what
1. Daily Meditation and Reflection
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
David speaks of his meditation on God's
statutes "all the day" (v. 97). This
indicates a continuous engagement, where
his thoughts frequently return to the
insights and wisdom found in the Word.
2. Constant Delight
“for I find my delight in your
commandments, which I love.” (Psalm
119:47, ESV)
His delight in God's testimonies is not
occasional but "as much as in all
riches" (v. 14). David values the Word
of God more highly than great wealth,
suggesting a consistent engagement over
fleeting pleasures or material gain.
3. Night Watches
“My eyes are awake before the watches of
the night, that I may meditate on your
promise.” (Psalm 119:148, ESV)
Even during the "night watches," David
uses this time to meditate on God's word
(v. 148), showing his dedication to
reflecting on Scripture outside of the
daily routines and responsibilities.
4. Persistent Prayer
“Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm
119:18, ESV)
David's prayers for understanding and
guidance are woven throughout,
indicating a regular dialogue with God
about His Word (v. 18). This verse
implies a continual seeking of insight
and illumination from the Scriptures.
5. Lifelong Obedience
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
David's commitment to obey God's laws is
described as a lifelong pursuit (v. 44),
indicating an ongoing, regular
engagement with God's commandments.
6. Continuous Learning and Growth
“Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your
statutes!” (Psalm 119:12, ESV)
He seeks teaching from God's statutes
(v. 12), indicating a posture of
continuous learning and growth in
understanding the depths of God's Word.
7. Ever-present Hope
“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114,
ESV)
David's hope in God's word is described
as something that sustains him "all the
day" (v. 114). This ongoing hope points
to a constant reliance on the promises
found in Scripture.
8. Regular Recitation
“I will delight in your statutes; I will
not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:16,
ESV)
David commits to not forgetting God's
word (v. 16), suggesting a practice of
regular recitation or review to keep it
fresh in his mind and heart.
These references collectively show that
David's engagement with the Word of God
was not sporadic or confined to specific
occasions but was a regular, integral
part of his daily life. His approach
encompasses meditation, delight, prayer,
obedience, learning, hope, and
recitation, reflecting a holistic
engagement with Scripture that nourished
his soul, guided his actions, and
anchored his hope continually.
Devoted Engagement
Psalm 119 stands as the longest chapter
in the Bible, and it serves as a
profound testament to the
Psalmist's—traditionally understood to
be David—deep and multifaceted
relationship with God's Word. The Psalm,
structured as an acrostic poem using the
Hebrew alphabet, reveals David's
attitude toward the Scriptures through
various lenses. Let's explore these
1. Reverence
“You have appointed your testimonies in
righteousness and in all faithfulness.”
(Psalm 119:138, ESV)
“Your testimonies are righteous forever;
give me understanding that I may live.”
(Psalm 119:144, ESV)
David demonstrates a profound reverence
for God's laws, precepts, and decrees,
recognizing them as perfect and holy (v.
138). This reverence is not born out of
obligation but out of a deep-seated
recognition of God's sovereignty and the
perfection of His Word. David sees God's
commands as a source of wisdom and life
(v. 144).
2. Love and Delight
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
“How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm
119:103, ESV)
Repeatedly, David expresses his love for
God's Word, finding joy and delight in
meditating on it day and night (v. 97).
This love surpasses a mere duty; it is a
heartfelt affection that treasures the
richness and beauty of God's
instructions above all worldly treasures
(v. 103).
3. Dependence
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.
4. Obedience and Commitment
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)
Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).
5. Trust and Faith
“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)
“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)
David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).
6. Reflection and Meditation
“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)
“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)
An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).
7. Petition and Hope
“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)
David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.

So, all ChristRose and Robert Religion have got is what the bible says
according to their own flawed interpretations: 'Solomon asked for
wisdom.' They make of that what THEY WILL in their impure minds and
self-deceived hearts.
No, all you have is what you make up in
your impure mind and self-deceived
“If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His
word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8–10,
NKJV)

Without the Spirit of God present, all is lost. Remember the Pharisees
or our modern sinner Christians equivalent; there is the proof of the
"ever learning" going nowhere.
And as the Pharisees, Michael calls
everyone else a "sinner whore", while
claiming he himself does not have a sin
nature or ever sin. You couldn't be a
bigger, more self-evident hypocrite.
You're like the Publican who thanks God
every day that he's not like the "sinner
whore" over there, while we watch you
sinning, cussing people out, etc.

See the difference.
Yeah. You operate out of the imagination
of your heart and self-deceit. Others
operate on the basis of what God said in
the Bible.

Solomon asked for wisdom. What would have God preferred was for Solomon
to ask for a heart for Him like his father David. There is a very
beautiful thing about the Lord in that...later.
Glad you mentioned David as a man after
God's own heart. He clearly relished,
studied, and engaged with the Scriptures
day and night. You manufacture your own
religion rather than admit what the
truth of Scripture plainly states.

Paul was contrasting himself with the
"super apostles" who boasted about their
letters of recommendation from _men_.
Paul was saying the fruit of their
ministry was evident in the lives of the
Corinthian believers, so that they do
not need letters of recommendation from
men. He was in no way trying to contrast
the word of God with the fruit of God.

PS: "God has to be quiet now, we have our bible." :-). Well, then, who
is going to speak? :-).
No, it's the other way around. You want
everyone to put their Bible down and be
quiet about what it says, so it doesn't
interfere with the imaginations of your
heart. You couldn't be a bigger, more
self-evident, self-deceived hypocrite.
You want the word of God to shut up so
you can pretend like you are speaking
superior wisdom "from the heart".
Anything you say which is not consistent
with Scripture, is a self-deceived lie,
even if it comes from your heart.
"God has to be quiet now, we have our bible."

Have you heard the good news Christ died
for our sins (†), and God raised Him
from the dead?
That Christ died for our sins shows
we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the
dead shows Christ's death satisfied
God's righteous demands against our sin
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:1-2). This means
God can now remain just, while forgiving
you of your sins, and saving you from
eternal damnation.
On the basis of Christ's death and
resurrection for our sins, call on
"For "everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved."" (Romans
10:13, ESV)

You don't live it, ChristRose, you exchange the truth for a lie and sin
against Him. You were told it was far-reaching.

In the Spirit of Truth written on the flesh of the human heart...

"God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David."

End of story.

"I merely speak the truth, what is revealed to me, and the cards fall
where God intends."

“Let your steadfast love come to me, O

David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,

Here is an example of the difference between walking in the Spirit with
the Lord and walking in self with your bible interpretations.
No comparison.
God would have preferred Solomon to ask for a heart for Him like his
father David.
1) "Example"? You cite no example here.
You make up a hypothetical which never
happened, and which is never stated in
Scripture. This is evidence of how you
delude yourself with your own ideas, and
place your own ideas above what the
Bible actually states.
2) Here's an actual example from what
1. Daily Meditation and Reflection
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
David speaks of his meditation on God's
statutes "all the day" (v. 97). This
indicates a continuous engagement, where
his thoughts frequently return to the
insights and wisdom found in the Word.
2. Constant Delight
“for I find my delight in your
commandments, which I love.” (Psalm
119:47, ESV)
His delight in God's testimonies is not
occasional but "as much as in all
riches" (v. 14). David values the Word
of God more highly than great wealth,
suggesting a consistent engagement over
fleeting pleasures or material gain.
3. Night Watches
“My eyes are awake before the watches of
the night, that I may meditate on your
promise.” (Psalm 119:148, ESV)
Even during the "night watches," David
uses this time to meditate on God's word
(v. 148), showing his dedication to
reflecting on Scripture outside of the
daily routines and responsibilities.
4. Persistent Prayer
“Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.” (Psalm
119:18, ESV)
David's prayers for understanding and
guidance are woven throughout,
indicating a regular dialogue with God
about His Word (v. 18). This verse
implies a continual seeking of insight
and illumination from the Scriptures.
5. Lifelong Obedience
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
David's commitment to obey God's laws is
described as a lifelong pursuit (v. 44),
indicating an ongoing, regular
engagement with God's commandments.
6. Continuous Learning and Growth
“Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your
statutes!” (Psalm 119:12, ESV)
He seeks teaching from God's statutes
(v. 12), indicating a posture of
continuous learning and growth in
understanding the depths of God's Word.
7. Ever-present Hope
“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114,
ESV)
David's hope in God's word is described
as something that sustains him "all the
day" (v. 114). This ongoing hope points
to a constant reliance on the promises
found in Scripture.
8. Regular Recitation
“I will delight in your statutes; I will
not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:16,
ESV)
David commits to not forgetting God's
word (v. 16), suggesting a practice of
regular recitation or review to keep it
fresh in his mind and heart.
These references collectively show that
David's engagement with the Word of God
was not sporadic or confined to specific
occasions but was a regular, integral
part of his daily life. His approach
encompasses meditation, delight, prayer,
obedience, learning, hope, and
recitation, reflecting a holistic
engagement with Scripture that nourished
his soul, guided his actions, and
anchored his hope continually.
Devoted Engagement
Psalm 119 stands as the longest chapter
in the Bible, and it serves as a
profound testament to the
Psalmist's—traditionally understood to
be David—deep and multifaceted
relationship with God's Word. The Psalm,
structured as an acrostic poem using the
Hebrew alphabet, reveals David's
attitude toward the Scriptures through
various lenses. Let's explore these
1. Reverence
“You have appointed your testimonies in
righteousness and in all faithfulness.”
(Psalm 119:138, ESV)
“Your testimonies are righteous forever;
give me understanding that I may live.”
(Psalm 119:144, ESV)
David demonstrates a profound reverence
for God's laws, precepts, and decrees,
recognizing them as perfect and holy (v.
138). This reverence is not born out of
obligation but out of a deep-seated
recognition of God's sovereignty and the
perfection of His Word. David sees God's
commands as a source of wisdom and life
(v. 144).
2. Love and Delight
“Oh how I love your law! It is my
meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97,
ESV)
“How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm
119:103, ESV)
Repeatedly, David expresses his love for
God's Word, finding joy and delight in
meditating on it day and night (v. 97).
This love surpasses a mere duty; it is a
heartfelt affection that treasures the
richness and beauty of God's
instructions above all worldly treasures
(v. 103).
3. Dependence
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a
light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
David acknowledges his utter dependence
on God's Word for guidance, strength,
and sustenance. He sees it as a lamp to
his feet and a light to his path (v.
105), a source of hope in times of
distress (v. 114). This reliance is not
just for knowledge but for the very
life-giving power that comes from being
aligned with God's will.
4. Obedience and Commitment
“I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,” (Psalm 119:44, ESV)
“I incline my heart to perform your
statutes forever, to the end.” (Psalm
119:112, ESV)
Throughout the Psalm, David commits to
obeying God's statutes diligently (v.
44). His dedication to keeping God's
laws is not sporadic or conditional but
a lifelong commitment, indicating a deep
sense of responsibility and honor in
following God's ways (v. 112).
5. Trust and Faith
“then shall I have an answer for him who
taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
(Psalm 119:42, ESV)
“Let your steadfast love comfort me
according to your promise to your
servant.” (Psalm 119:76, ESV)
David's relationship with God's Word is
also characterized by trust and faith.
He believes in the promises of God
contained in the Scriptures, relying on
them as the sure foundation for life (v.
42). This trust leads him to follow
God's commands with confidence, knowing
that God is faithful to His Word (v.
76).
6. Reflection and Meditation
“I will lift up my hands toward your
commandments, which I love, and I will
meditate on your statutes.” (Psalm
119:48, ESV)
“I will meditate on your precepts and
fix my eyes on your ways.” (Psalm
119:15, ESV)
An essential aspect of David's attitude
is his commitment to meditating on God's
Word. He sees value in pondering God's
laws, precepts, and decrees, finding in
them wisdom, comfort, and guidance (v.
48). This meditation is not a mere
intellectual exercise but a deep,
contemplative process that shapes his
heart and mind (v. 15).
7. Petition and Hope
“Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your
promise;” (Psalm 119:41, ESV)
David frequently petitions God for
understanding, guidance, and protection
based on His promises in Scripture. His
hope is anchored in the truth of God's
Word, demonstrating a forward-looking
faith that anticipates God's faithful
actions in accordance with His revealed
will (v. 41).
In summary, David's attitude toward
God's Word in Psalm 119 is one of
devoted engagement. It encompasses
reverence (vv. 138, 144), love (vv. 97,
103), dependence (vv. 105, 114),
obedience (vv. 44, 112), trust (vv. 42,
76), meditation (vv. 15, 48), and hope
(v. 41). This comprehensive view
highlights the central role that
Scripture plays in the believer's
life—not merely as a set of rules, but
as the very breath of God that sustains,
guides, and nurtures the soul towards a
deeper relationship with Him.
